Laughing mom holding sons on lap

About

Hi! I’m Erin, and although I’m the self-proclaimed Queen of the Introverts, I also love to laugh, and I stand by my claim that self-deprecating humor is the gift that keeps on giving.

I have two funny little goofballs, 3 and 5, and they’re the reason I wanted to make photography a bigger part of my life.  Life with them is often legitimate chaos, but I also get insanely sentimental about it.  Sometimes my weird-turbo-strength-mom-love makes me feel genuinely terrified that a phase is going to pass me by before I even realize it was a phase, and having my camera nearby helps.  It helps find the joy in watching them grow and change since I know I have dozens of photos to go back and relive their littler selves.

I know that I’m lucky that I get to capture so many of our messy, funny, weird, sweet moments together, and that’s something I wanted to be able to give others too.  It’s brought me so much joy to be able to give people ways to see the beauty in their fleeting present.

Everyone deserves beautiful photographs to look back on as they watch things change.  No one deserves the abundant stress sweat that they didn’t take enough pictures of their kids’ gummy smiles before their teeth came in.  Just hypothetically.

But wait!  There’s more!  Not to brag, but in addition to the two aforementioned rascally boys, I also have a really awesome husband who’s the actual best.  He’s King of the Introverts, and as such, probably prefers I provide no further information about him.

I’m also in my (*grumbles indecipherably*)th year of teaching high school to ensure I stay young and hip…although my students feel the need to repeatedly clarify that my frequent use of “hip” is irrefutable proof that I am not, in fact, hip. I teach part-time now, which has allowed me space for all the photo things that bring me so much happiness… happiness that, if I’m lucky enough to get the chance, I will transfer over to you in the form of some really beautiful photographs that you will have of (and for!) your family forever and ever.
