Fine art portraits are like the beautiful antidote to the horrors of… the school photo. Although school photos provide much-needed comic relief and some good old-fashioned future blackmail, with their laser-esque backgrounds and kids at their peak discomfort, they don’t do a great job of capturing your kids.
Fine art portraits aim to do just that. With no really weird body tilting, no teeth-glaring forced smiles, we just capture kids as their genuine selves, but beautifully and artistically. With a timeless white or black backdrop, these can be a beautiful option for milestone photos every 6 months to a year as a wonderful way to see kids grow and change. In fact, they’re some of the of my favorite portraits to take of my own kids.
