Newborn Sessions

A lot of people ask me, “When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?” The good news is that there’s no wrong answer… except missing this opportunity! A lot of people schedule newborn sessions about two weeks after birth so they can physically recover and get their bearings a little, but even if it’s long after that, it’s not too late! Getting a chance to capture those itty bitty babies is amazing regardless of their age, and you’ll never ever regret it.

Capturing new parents and siblings is just as awesome as the babies themselves. There’s nothing like the delight, exhaustion, utter terror, and overwhelming emotion (I cried A LOT) of the first few months of parenthood, and your OG times together are such great memories to return to as your lives together grow and change.

Most newborn sessions are scheduled in your home so you don’t have to worry about a thing— you’re totally comfortable and have everything you might need within arm’s reach. Not to be a cheeseball, but it’s also really special to capture where your new family spends so much time together in those first few months. (I’m pretty sure we had to literally flip the couch cushions to prevent a permanent indentation). Worried about a mess? Don’t. Seriously. I’m a pro at hiding things, and besides, keeping it real produces memories that are just as beautiful.

Want to venture out? I’m down! Let’s bring a blanket and snuggle up outside. Sessions vary in length and gallery size ranging from $375-$875, so you can pick the option that works best for your schedule and your crew.
